got the boys together and had a lit hype cicle and got hyped af for this distance run so that was lit. But before I talk about my run I have to give a huge shoutout to my boys up in spokane for their win last saturday #zagup. Anyways, we started are run and me and josh wanted to run to the saratoga walmart, so we lead everyone in that direction. It was a terrible run but oh well lol. On the way there we had a 6:45 ap and we were all feeling decent and on the way back it dropped to like a 7:40 for a couple miles, and Landon Mike and I found ourselves way behind the group, and I looked at my watch and realized that school was about to get out, and being the tool I am I could not look slow in front of my classmates so I hauled and caught back up to the group and my last couple miles were both 7 flat. I almost died twice today bc idiot drivers and was sworn at multiple times, so naturaly, I just returned the favor lol. Got back to the school and started doing abs but eryone was just talking about politics and watson getting chex, so me and josh were outtie and went and benched, gotta get swol lol. After that I went and took a flippin cold ice bath, but itll all be worth it when I destroy davis lol. To finish up ill say this day was a 6/10, and  givea shoutout to Collin for being willing to run the 4x800 in place of spencer on our team we should do decent.

Finished to five, will add a mile later in the week, so I can feel extra fresh for tomorrow. Got up to Davis about 2, went on a two mile shake out with a few of the guys, my legs felt awful, which made me super nervous for the mile. Then we came back and waited for the mile to start. First half of my mile was awesome as me and Garrison lead our heat, and I was feeling really confident, but then towards the second half of the race a bunch of people started to pass me, and my confidence was gone instantly, my form was lost and it took everything I had just to finish. Definitley a very dissapointing race, wish I would have done better, but wishes dont mean nothing, you just gotta put in the work to get the job done, so I looked to find redemption in my 4x800 later that day. I ran 2 miles in between my races with Garrison Denzil and Josh awesome run, as both miles were like 9:20 lol. Got back and Landon had to bail on the relay, so I was able to get connor to run on our team which was way sick. We went over and raced it, and we took fourth overall which was awesome, but I wasnt happy with my performance in it and felt like I hel my team back and got somewhere around a 2:17. Was mad so I did some frustration miles afterwards. I need to get better but im not and its really frustrating because I am working as hard as I can everyday and its not showing, so thats very dissapointing. Shout out to connor though for some awesome advice, we had some good talk tonight and that gave me some confidence going forward #grind. Anyways, some side notes lol: Ryan and Thom did awesome today, happy birthday to Megan, hope it was a good one, Pizza Pie was fun tonight, but its a school night, aaaaand prom is stressful, so theres that lol. Nothing too special about today, but we had a good time on our recovery run lol. We ran up to about Olympic park and back, pace varied throughout the run, we ended up averaging a 7:34, weather was deec and abs after were good too, its almost Friday so I am definitely looking forward to the weekend, having a big race in the middle of the week makes it feel much longer and so I could use a mental break right about now.

AM- 4 with connor from my house up to state street and back legs felt wasted and I dont think connor was feeling fresh either bc it felt like I was pushing the pace which never happens lol. 7:15 average pace, he hooked me up with kneaders for my bday after so that was lit, we reminisced on the old XC days which lately is all that has been on my mind, so it has been hard to stay as focused on track, but at the same time motivates me to make the most of what I have left. All you young bloods make the most of what you got because it will come to an end a lot quicker then you think

PM- Got to the track at 7:45 before everyone else and the sun was still up and setting so I did a mile on the track by myself and felt freaking good, I love running by myself in the evening it gives me time to think. Then everyone else got there and I finished my warm up down by the rodeo grounds and back on main street at night so it was all lit up and that was cool, got 4 more miles in ap was 7:30, my legs felt like I could go all night. Then we started the workout, was suprised by riley ryan and the twins, as they came to watch so that was nice of them #team #fam. The guys that came to work out were connor, nathan, easton, josh, chris, satchell, big t,  and me. Awesome group. We did 6x400 splits were 66,70,68,70,70,71. Then we did 3x200 splits were 30,31,31. Doing it under the lights was awesome, shout out to jamie for setting it up, also shout out to Jhoan for coming and playing some lit tunes and taking some sick pics, hopefully we get on runnerspace. After the workout we did a cooldown with coach on the track, which was cool, because I had never run with her before, so that was way fun. All in all and awesome day and I have a ton of confidence going forward. Thanks to everyone for the birthday shoutouts I love yall.

Today was fun, during practice it was snowing so I did three miles on the treadmill ap 7:10. Did warm-up mile with some Bros and I was panicking af bc I get the worst anxiety before I run the Mile, but I was still feeling positive about it. Lined up first lap was a 72, then the last 3 were all 76. During the third lap when I normally fall off I was able to power through and passed a ton of people and so even tho it wasn't a lit meet it did a lot for my confidence being at the top of the pack. I had a great time running the Mile, it was definitely enjoyable. Shout out to Connor for being a lit commentator for todays meet lol. Chilled with him for a little bit, but then had to go run a mile cool down/warm-up for my next race. Wasn't expecting a great 800 at all, but I was really surprised when I started how easy it was to get out in the lead. I may have swim pushed everyone around me back to get position lol im basically the Delly of region 4 track. Anyways not sure why my time was, but finished around 2:17 and took second overall. I cooled down a half mile and then did another mile later at night with my boy h-lindy.

Shout out to my boy Josh Erickson, it was fun racing with you today fam.

We really started to pick it up the last 6 miles and I dropped my pace to around 6:45 for the most part, which felt awful on my legs because the two races I did yesterday destroyed them lol. Went skiing last night so this morning it took all I had to get out of bed, as I was hecka tired and sore lol. But once I got down to UVU I warmed up a mile and all of the pain was replaced with adrenaline. The weather was amazing and I was super excited to race because this was the biggest invite that I had ever been too. Went to the start line and the pack went out hard the first lap, 66. Then we settled in and at the end of the second lap I made a move to get into third and gap myself for most of the heat. I finished with the same time as my PR, 4:55. I loved the track, as it is wider than most and It was really a fun race. Cooled down a mile and then went home.

Between conference sessions I finished up my miles and I was feeling wayyy good bc my average  pace was a 6:24 lol.

Also Shout out to the pops for getting tix to preisthood session up at the conference center. I was Lit.

Met up with jags, big t and landon to do a percentage run and we thought it would be fun to do it on the AF XC course because it jst brought back the feels of the good old times lol. Warmed up two mikes before the workout. The workout was one mile

at 1 minute slower than two mile pace, two miles 1 minute slower than mile pace and then finished with an all out 800. We ran the first mile together and got a 6:11, which was a little fast, and in the second mile I separated from them because they didn't drop the pace enough and I couldn't even drop the pace as much as I would have liked and so the next two miles were hard and my legs felt way heavy. Splits were 6:03, 6:09. Then the 800 on the track was insanely hard but I pulled out a 2:42 so that was decent, it was a good workout to finish the week with. Cooled down to 8.

I have been questioning myself a lot lately about why I have been trying so hard and pushing myself to the breaking point, as track season is all I have left and it is very improbable that I will get close to making state, but I'm starting to figure out why. I saw this quote that said "don't focus on what you can't do, but rather focus on what you CAN do to make yourself the best you can be" and that inspired me and I'm definitely ready to destroy the rest of track season and go out on a high note.

Also, it was super cool to see all the utah runners kill it at Arcadia, especially the 4x1600 Lehi team with their fifth place finish and awesome PRS by Collin and connor #gang. And I was inspired by the most clutch race I have ever seen as Connor took second in the two mile and made it look simple and easy, suckas a str8 grinder, stay cool with the jack fam!

Lol today me landon parker and dallin did our run from Lehi to Westlake to watch some of the boys race the Mile. We were only planning on doing 6, but we took a longer route to Westlake that gave us seven miles, first 5 were great, 7:05 Ap. But the last two were pretty rough a it got super stormy outside lol. Once we got to the high school we did 5 150 build upsbon their track. Watched the Mile and then decided to do a 4x100. I was the first leg, and I was gonna hand off to riley. The gun went off and I got out good, considering it was my first time ever using a block lol. I was in third, and all was well. Then everything that could have gone wrong happened, riley started running when I still had 40 meters to go, and continued running even when I was yelling at him to stop lol. He got to the end of the exchange zone and had to stop an wait for me to get there and I crashed into him, and Josh and landon got the baton too far back to make any difference, pretty sure we lost o a girls team, and we are gonna have to put in more work if we want to beat the dream team lol. But on a happier note, we beat a team of actual sprinters bc they dropped the baton. Lol sprinting is a joke. Mamba out.

Woke up early and there was a lot of wind in lehi, which made me nervous. But when I got over to pg it had died down a lot so I felt better. Did a mile warm up on the XC loop, then went over to the start line. I was trying to get my nerves out a little by dancing at the start line, but a skirmish broke out and so that disturbed it for me lol. Anyways, gun went off and Andy, Parker and I formed a pack. Landon surged ahead but after a lap dropped back with us. Stayed consistent for the first 5 laps and I was on pace for a 10:30, but kinda zoned out and dont remember much of the race after that, and I lost a ton of time. It was still a 25 second pr for me, but if I woulda stayed with the guys then it would have been wayyy better. After, cooled down two with some lp guys and us in the neighborhoods around PG. Stayed at the meet all day and watched Connors awesome race breaking 2 in the 800 which was sick. Then after went on a 6ish mile trail run with Tyler Riley and Ali from PG, and Connor Mike, and the high school relationship. It was a sick run with a ton of uphill and we finished on top of mollys hill, which had a breathtaking view of the valley, but was hecka windy. So we ran back and cruised down the hill. Was a very good time, I will definitley be doing that run again soon.

Holy cow I was feeling it today, super tired and sore and I hate running in lehi bc it is soooo freaking boring, tried to make the most of it, but the best trails we could find were like .1 miles, and we ended up running up killers and the big dip lol. Very slow day. Came back and did some abs and help motivate Mike to get the all time lehi plank record of 43:01 which was awesome to see history made lol. Not sure if im gonna race tomorrow bc the Davis entries havent been posted, Im hoping I get in but have a gut feeling that it just wont happen.

Well, found out that I didnt make the cut for Davis around lunch time today. But I was only sad for about a minute. and then I thought of how good I could do today, and how well I had prepared myself. So I stayed positive, because like i said before. Dont focus on what you cant do, rather focus on what you CAN do to make yourself the BEST you can be. So I went home and ate a good lunch(pizza rolls lololol) and watched tons of hype videos and hyped myself almost to the point of crying, and I knew that nothing was gonna stop me from doing my very best today because of how I was feeling. Went back to the school and everyone who didnt qualify for davis was pretty negative, so I did my best to motivate everyone but that wasnt working lol. Did a warmup mile on the turf, which ended up being a 6:09, but felt like an 8:00, so I knew even more, that it was gonna be a good race. Ran another warmup mile right before the race, and then got the boys together to do want some, get some, to get everyone excited and it was sooo awesome and definitley got everyone going. Watched the first heat of the mile, and my boy Nathan killed it, out kicking this riverton guy down the stretch to get a season pr of 5:05, so shoutout to him for doing great. Then my heat went to the line. They didnt put us in order, so they just lined everyone up and shot the gun. I wasnt nervous at all before this race and so the first lap. Landon went out hard, but I chose to be a little more conservative and stayed with the pack, but a bunch of people started passing me at the 300 mark so I had had enough of the pack and split off from them and got a 73 first lap. Surged at the begining of the second lap to get closer to landon and passed him going into the 800 mark, 74 second lap. Connor was calling the meet, and it was awesome to hear him call out me and landons name as we were racing, definitley contributed to the great race I had, so shout out to him. Surged again in the third lap, and me and landon really started distancing ourselves from the pack at this point and it was fun. 74 third lap. The fourth lap started and landon did his signature kick at the first 100 and got a 20 meter gap on me, but I just stayed focused and was able to catch him by the 200 mark with a kick of my own, at this point I wanted to win so bad, coming around the last turn neck and neck, he had just barely a little more leg speed than me and so he got me by a second. last lap was a 73. Got a 4:56 "officially", but I had multiple people getting my splits for me, and they all had me at a 4:54 with the splits I specified above. All in all a fantastic race, and I think I will for sure be able to qualify for BYU at tiger trials next week. Elevated my legs and cooled down 2 miles with nathan. Chilled with connor a little bit in the box and then went back down. Shout out to Tyler for breaking 2:20 in the 800 today, that was sick. By the time the two mile came around, my legs were no where near recovered, and I tried to stay with the leaders, but just didnt have it in me because of how fried my legs were from giving it all in the mile. My time in the 2 was 11:15 and if anything it was just good tempo training to help me get faster. Cooled down one last mile to get 8 for the day. Two more shoutouts, first one to spencer for running the mile and getting a 5:08, wish he woulda done distance smh bc he is pretty good at it. Last one goes to this dope quote I heard on Kung fu Panda three, it goes "If you only do what you can do, then you will never be more than you are now" Thats some str8 up wisdom from master shifu right there lol. Lizard Out.

Today was way fun, I think we had the biggest group we have ever ran with at the beginning including coach jamie and megan, so shout out to them for running with us, for like 2 miles at least lol. Ran up past skyridge and by the time we hit three miles there was only 6 of us left lol. We got to the end of center Street, and Connor and Thomas had to turn back, but me nug landon and Josh decided to go up this lit looking trail that we had never ran on and it lived up to the hype for sure. Ran out to 4.5 then turned back, did a quick out and back mile on the Murdock canal trail and then went back the same way we came. Got 10 miles at 7:05 pace for the day.

Ran a four mile warmup with Nathan Landon and Josh, to the bottom of airport hill. Coach changed our speed workout because our track was being used for a junior high track meet, so we couldnt do 400 repeats lol. So we ended up doing 9x90 seconds up airport hill, with a lap around the grovel each time. We had a nice tailwind and I was hitting just over 400 meters each time so it was solid. Shout out to satchell for balling hard today, and keeping track of time bc everyone elses watches died lol. the workout gave me 4.75. Definitley glad this workout went well, because it is just another step to be able to qualify for BYU next week at Tiger Trials. Ran back to the school and got up to 10.2. It was a good friday, good luck to everyone racing tomorrow.

Was driving up to highland to run on the canal, but I saw my stake president running so I pulled over and ran with him for two miles, it was fun and we are right, so w had some good talk about my mission, which was really awesome. I went up to 5 after by myself. Im going up to watch some of the races at Davis, so I'll probs finish my miles there

Went up to davis to watch some of the races, ran 2 miles with connor, mike and denver, then later ran a mile with connor and josh, and then 2 more miles even later with connor and spencer, so I ran 10 miles today. But it was in runs of 2-3-2-1-2 miles lol oh well.

Nice weather today wen out to do a medium recovery run, and everyone was down t go slow today, went up airport drive and stretched at big ts house, ran down to this trail an I had to go to the bathroom so we stopped at Smith's, came back and Connor started acting like he was commentating for an Olympic race, so Ihad to win, kicked hard the last mile to pull away from the pack and my average pace dropped below 8:00 bc of that lol.

One mile with the little kids that I coach track to later.

Ran a 3 mile warmup to the cemetery and back, then me and landon did the Mile workout today. 12x400 splits were 73,72,71,72,72,71,72,72,70,71,70,72.on pace to qualify for BYU this weekend so it's gonna be sick, the rain was perfect today and felt great during the workout, bc no wind lol. Cooled down 2 miles to get 8. Gonna run the 400 at the dual meet tomorrow and try to break 1 minute.

Went up to herriman to watch the mile, and while I was waiting for the meet to start I di 7 1 minute one, 1 minute off pickups around the turf and got 2 miles. After that I ran a mile cool down. Watched the mile, and spencer and riley both got under 5 which was cool to see them do for the first time. Did a 2 mile run with them out to the middle of nowhere and back, then ran the 4x400, I led off and then mike, sam, and landon finished for us. we got 3:51 and took second so that was sick. finished up to 6 barefoot on the turf. Shoutout to herriman for being classless, no one gives a freak about your JV team beating half of our JV team.

Got to orem and warmed up a mile. Saw landon qualify for BYU and was super hyped for him. Went to the line for my race and the gun went off, everyone took it out way hard and we came through at like a 65, and then my whole heat dropped, and so I knew I would have to push to get the time I wanted so I Ed out the next two laps, but lost all my energy in doing so and the last lap was hard, I realized that I wasn't gonna get the time I wanted with about 350 meters to go so it was hard to finish the race. Afterwards I was pretty down on life, and I'm sick of setting all of these big goals and falling short every time, it hurts. I wanted to do something meaningful with this track season and I put everything I had into every day that I was working to become better, and it was all just for coming up short at the end, all the hard work meant nothing. So the legacy that I'm leaving behind at Lehi is someone who tried and failed. I wasn't strong enough to handle the challenge, and I'm physically and mentaly wasted beyond my capacity, its been a long hard disappointing season and that is all there is to it. Cooled down a mile with coach and called it a day.

On a much happier note I had an AMAZING time at prom with Sami and that was definitely a night I wil remember for a long time, so shoutout to her for making it great.

Not sure how many miles I wan to do this week, as I won't know if I'm running a region or not until Saturday, ran up to the mct today, took the alternate roa up airport hill today which I had never run, so that was cool, split off from the majority of our group, but somehow caught up to them on the way back, pretty impressive considering I ran 2 more mile than them, last mile was a 5:50 so my average pace for the 8 mile run was just under 7, did three more with the little kids at track practice because why not lol.

Four mile warmup today, then did the same speed workout as Connor, splits were 2:33 and 2:34 for the 800s, 71 and 72 for the 400s, and a 32 was my average for the 200s. Drank so much water after I thought I was gonna explode, then cooled down a mile. Went to the creek by the spring with Connor and parker and had our first outdoor ice bath of the year, it was flippin amazing lol lizard out.

Today was amazing. got to lone peak around 2:30, walked around flexin the Js, ran a 2 mile shakeout with connor towards the canyon, then chilled and watched the first part of the meet. Watched spencer do well in the 400 and was excited for my shot to run later. Warmed up a mile with Austin, Riley and Mike. Then went and got ready, the meet was way ahead of schedule so my race ended up starting pretty early. Wished my boy Tyler some luck then went to the starting line. Was literally not nervous at all, and the weather was perfect. Danced a little bit while a bunch of the guys in my heat did a stride fealt hecka relaxed. Then the gun went off, I lined up in lane 6 so I cut in right off the bat, found andrew and stayed with him for the first two laps. Coming up to the end of the second lap I saw riley, who had got out a little bit ahead of us and I turned to Andrew and said "let's go catch him" so we did and once we got up with him I realized that I was at the front of the second group and that wasn't what I wanted. The lead pack was about 40 yards ahead of me and I still had a lot of energy, so I took a huge risk and hauled to catch up with them. Came across the Mile at 5:10, and my risk paid off, as I was able to stay with them, throughout the second mile I picked everyone off except for one Westlake kid at the front. Shout out to Connor for getting some vids of me and then saying some hecka motivating words to me the 7th lap. Got passed by some people in the last 200 but I was giving everything I had so that didn't get me down. Throughout the race I was constantly thinking that this was my last chance so I didn't want to leave anything to be told and I can sleep well tonight knowing that I gave my all. It was so sweet having my teamates there to cheer for me, they were all so loud, the majority of them were at the beginning of each lap and when I came around I would always have a surge by them because their positive energy was so contaigous. Gibson was cheering at the 200 mark, bill and kinley were at the 300 mark and my boy zack was at the 350 mark, so hearing those guys all race was super fun. My second mile was a 5:14 and I finished with a 10:24. My mom and sisters were able to come watch some of the race too which made me happy because I love them too and they support me more than anyone. When I think back on running track for Lehi, this will always be the race I think about, I was able to make it through a difficult season and peak at the right time. Shout out to all my teamates, I love y'all like family and am truly blessed to have you in my life. Also shoutout to coach for giving me the opportunity to run a region and prove that I could race well. Tyler and Jared get a shout out as well for all the hard work they have put in under difficult circumstances and have been able to push through and get some great times. Yall inspire me.
